Air Fresh Marketing organized a series of events at Fiddlers Green
Outdoor Amphitheater to promote the Merrell brand and increase
awareness of their partnership with Big Brothers and Big Sisters. We were
tasked with creating a unique experience that would encourage potential
customers to think about how daily movement impacts their lives and the lives of others. To deliver on this task, our Interactive Vending Machine provided concert-
goers with the opportunity to experience hiking up Pikes Peak. We explained to our participants that we needed their help to collectively hike from Fiddlers Green to Pikes Peak, which according to Google Maps, is 79.6 miles. Our team went to Pikes Peak in advance of the show to record a 4k
hike and build it into the software. When the guest stepped on the custom
footpad controls, they were virtually hiking up the exact path to the top of
Pikes Peak. Guests moved their feet and saw a direct correlation between steps and
the contribution being made. Not only was the experience a positive one
for the guests and their view on how Merrell gets involved in the local
community, but the attendees were pleased to win several amazing prizes
from the machine.
